Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Creating Futures (“we”, “us”) provides career coaching, CV writing and recruitment services in Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, and we take our responsibilities under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 seriously.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at Caroline@creatingfutures.ie.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message you write. This information is delivered to us by email so we can respond to your enquiry — it is not stored in any database on this website.

When you become a client, we collect the information needed to deliver the service you’ve engaged us for: your CV and career history, job applications, the notes we make during coaching sessions, and any documents you share with us. A CV naturally contains personal data — we treat everything you share as confidential.

When you browse this website, our hosting provider processes technical data (such as IP addresses) as part of serving pages and protecting the site from abuse. We do not use this to identify you.

How we use your data

  • To respond to enquiries — replying to messages you send through the contact form or by email (legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us).
  • To deliver our services — preparing your CV, cover letters, LinkedIn profile or coaching sessions (legal basis: performance of a contract with you).
  • To meet legal obligations — keeping records we are required to hold, such as invoices for tax purposes (legal basis: legal obligation).

We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing emails without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our business:

  • Brevo — delivers contact-form messages to us by email and sends you an automatic acknowledgement. Brevo is an EU-based email provider.
  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and protects it against attacks and spam.
  • Google Analytics — used only if we have enabled analytics and you have accepted cookies via the consent banner. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set.

We share your data with no one else, except where the law requires it.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies by default. If analytics are enabled, a consent banner will ask for your permission before any analytics cookie is set, and your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a client, we keep your documents and correspondence for the duration of our engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can assist you with follow-up requests, after which they are deleted. Records we are legally required to keep (such as invoices) are retained for the statutory period.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate data;
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • Receive your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email Caroline@creatingfutures.ie. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland’s supervisory authority).

If we change this policy we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
